My favorite shoes.

I love wearing these shoes.  They just seem like "happy" shoes... also I like a little bit of toe cleavage in a pair a shoes.

My sweet boy.

This is a picture of James sleeping tonight.  He is such a sweet boy and he looks especially angelic when asleep.  This morning James crawled in bed with me and Dave and snuggled right up to me.  I was kind of surprised because he is a Daddy's boy all the way and usually cuddles Dave.  I was enjoying my cuddle when James whispers in my ear,
"I am cuddwing you Mom cuz I aways cuddew Dad and you need a turn".

STRIKE!!!

I took the kids bowling while Dave was working at the convention.  Ella loves to bowl and her enthusiasm is infectious.  This was seconds after she got a strike, she was beyond excited... in fact she looks a little crazy.  I laughed out loud when I saw this photo.

A little bit of Sunshine!

It was so beautiful in Las Vegas.  While Dave was working I took the kids to a park.  One of their favorite things was playing on the obstacles course.  It did my heart good to see them playing outside again in the warm sunshine.

I can't wait to meet up with Dave today, I have missed him! 

I will still take a picture of something positive each day, I just won't be able post them till I get back. 

I am a princess.

Ella and I leave each other little love notes on her chalk board.  This is the one that she left for me today.  I asked her if the princess was me and she rolled her eyes and said "Of course! What do you think!?"  (She sounded just like a teenager.)  

I especially love my teeth. 

Wonderful way to wake up.

I know it is a bit early today to already have taken and posted a photo, but seriously... it doesn't get better than this.  My beautiful kids waking me up with cuddles and giggles.  I am one lucky lady.

The kids were able to play in the yard today, and after a long time of not being able to play outside because of snow, it was awesome!

While loading the groceries into the car today I told James to get in and buckle up.  He called back to me that he couldn't and that I needed to wait.  I finished loading the groceries and came around the car to find this...

James holding my door open for me and then shutting it behind me.   His Dad has been teaching him about being a gentleman and I guess it is sinking in.   I totally choked up... I love that boy!  Luckily I had my camera in my pocket so I totally got a picture!

We watched this movie on Netflix tonight. 

I loved the style of the illustrations and animation.
It is stunning and it made me want to paint.

Ella and her cousin "C" were fighting so I made them sit on time out together with their arms around each other and they LOVED it!

I found something cool.

I bought this luminary a couple of years ago at Ross for like $3.
 I Fell in love with it, bought it, came home, put it away and promptly forgot about it.
Then today I found it!

I love it.

I noticed at Walmart today, that although they provide a low sink for little ones and people in wheelchairs etc., they put all the soap dispensers ridiculously high on the wall. 

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the low sink?

It did make me chuckle though... ☻
James made me laugh out loud.

Baby boys.

I watched my friends adorable boys today for a few hours. 
James LOVED it.  He loved helping them and he loved practicing being a "big brother". 

James has told me a couple of time "I love those 2 babies!" 

Oh I am excited for the day when he gets to actually be the big brother!

Favorite card.

My Mother-in-law gave me this card for Mother's Day years ago.

I love this image so much and it always makes me smile when I see it.  I hung it on the wall above my computer so that I can see it every day.  It just causes a really wonderful emotional response in me... I love stuff like that. 

Movie and a cuddle.

Tonight we watched "James and the Giant Peach".  My James LOVED it and loved that he had the same name as the boy in the movie.

Hand made gifts are GREAT!

My awesome sister Bek made me this creamer for my birthday. 

I think I will place it by my kitchen sink and put flowers in it.

Lunch Lady!

I surprised Ella for her birthday (Can you believe she is 7 today?!?  I can't.) and met her for school lunch.  It was my first Elementary School lunch in over 20 years...  all in all, not too bad.  The company was superb too, I was surrounded by a gaggle of 6 and 7 year old girls telling me all the juicy 1st grade information.  

P.S. This also just happens to be the same lunch room I ate lunch in when I was in 1st grade too!  

Sleeping babies are better than sweets.

There aren't too many things more scrumptious than sleeping babies...

and yes, I know that my "baby" is 4 1/2 years old. ☻
