NOEL

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas this year.  Everything seemed as if it was cloaked in a magical glow.  Maybe it is because all 3 littles are believers still (I hope for a year more at least!)  We scaled back a bit this year (which for us isn't saying much... we kinda over do it every year).

We started the celebrations out this year on the 23rd with our annual breakfast at Mahla's house.  I look forward to this meal every year!
I forgot my camera so I have no photos this year :(

After the deliciousness we went home and got ready for church... the kids looked SO cute in their new church clothes.  Especially the boys in their matching suits.

On Christmas Eve we had our annual dinner and party with Dave's family at Kathy's.  It was great as usual.  Sam was OBSESSED with climbing into boxes.

Grandma gave Sam this cute... and huge gorilla!
James really wanted the Skylanders starter set... He was SO SO SO excited that grandma gave it to him.  He said it was his favorite gift this year.

That night at home we gave the kids their traditional 2 gifts of Christmas Eve.  A new ornament and pajamas.  I ordered cute custom clay ornaments for them this year.  A cute art one for Ella, a karate one for James and a Noah's Ark one for Sam.  They all got matching polar bear pajamas.

Then Sam crashed!

Christmas Morning:

Christmas evening we went to my parents house for a nice dinner and party.  The kids preformed the nativity and Sam was super disruptive.  He also bit his cute cousin Jakey.  Stinker!
Sam loved dinner!

I love Christmas... it makes winter bearable... at least until January!

What a complete joy this sweet boy has been to our whole family.  He filled a space that was in all of our hearts.  He was a very much wanted and prayed for baby, especially by his big brother and sister.  They have been AMAZING.  They are so good to him and so good to me.  Such wonderful helper and I could not feel more lucky and proud to be the mother to these 3 AWESOME kids!

We of course had a "FIESTA" for Sam's party (Our little family tradition that started with Ella).  We ate taco soup and chips and yummy dips.  One of my sisters-in-law even made Jalapeno poppers.  We had a pinata (but couldn't figure out how to hang it inside so we put it on the ground and let the kids whack away!  It was great!

Cousin Gabe helping Sam

Opening gifts... he liked the boxes best.

It took Sam a bit to get into his smash cake but he eventually did.

This first birthday party was especially tender because most likely Sam will be our last.
I wanted his baby stage to last longer but...
It was sure fun while it lasted!!!
Toddlerdom, here we come!
